Hello!! My name is Nicolas Reimann Concha, and I am applying to be a Regnum Christi missionary from the summer of 2026 to 2027. I am deeply grateful and excited for the chance to give this year of my life to God.

I grew up living the Regnum Christi charism. I attended a Regnum Christi school, Colegio Highlands, in Santiago, Chile, where I grew up in a truly Catholic environment. In Grade 8, my family and I moved to Calgary. This transition was very difficult for me. Along with a new language, country, and friends, I felt a deep emptiness in my faith life. I missed being surrounded by priests, missionaries, and consecrated men and women, and I realized how much my relationship with God depended on community and a strong Catholic environment, because I knew it was not just about going to Mass on Sunday.

 

Even during this challenging time, God never stopped walking with me. When I returned to a Regnum Christi school in Grade 10, it felt like coming home after being lost. Through ECYD, missions, retreats, and leadership, my faith slowly grew stronger. In the summer of 2024, I served for one month as an ECYD missionary in Madrid. I also served as a mission guide during Holy Week Missions, became an ECYD team leader, and attended retreats like Ignition, where I met young people from across America who shared the same love for Christ.

 

Through these experiences, my heart changed. I discovered a deep joy in serving others and sharing God’s love. Regnum Christi gave me more than activities; it gave me purpose, friendships, and a place where my faith could grow. Little by little, I began to feel God inviting me to give more of myself.

 

This is why I want to give a year of my life as a Regnum Christi missionary. I feel incredibly blessed to experience God in my daily life, and I cannot keep that gift to myself. I want to help others encounter the same love that has truly changed my life.
