Hello, my name is Daniella Finley-Gonzalez and I am a 17 year old, grade 12 student at Clear Water Academy. I am a practicing Catholic and an ECYD Challenge leader at my school.

I did my ECYD Pledge of Friendship at an ECYD retreat in 2022, and ever since then I have had a lot of love for ECYD and mission life. As a Challenge leader, I lead a group of girls in grades seven and eight, supporting them and helping them to grow in friendship with Christ and one another.

In the past few years, I have become involved in ECYD through camps like Captivenia, and events like Holy Week Missions. I have participated in ECYD missions, retreats with the leaders and have been a counsellor at other Catholic camps like Tapawingo Trails. 

​

I am really looking forward to going on a summer mission so I can meet missionaries from other parts of the world, and therefore contribute to God's kingdom through service and apostolate. My time in ECYD has strengthened my faith and by participating in a mission summer, I want to contribute to bringing Christ to every person I meet. I look forward to getting to know new people and growing in my faith.

I have always followed the charism of Regnum Christi since I was young because my school is a Regnum Christi school. Through school and ECYD, I have had the opportunity  to meet many missionaries and Consecrated women who have been amazing role models for me. I have a passion for singing, dancing, acting and playing instruments, such as violin and guitar. My passion for music allows me to worship God through my music.

Above all, I want to do an ECYD mission this summer because I feel that Jesus is calling me to do this. I feel like He has things in store for me in this mission that will help me to know Him better and love Him. As a grade 12 student who is going to university next year, I am also exploring my vocation, so this is a great opportunity for me to know where God is calling me to go in my life.
