Alana Aristimuno
My name is Alana Aristimuno, and I am 17 years old. Over the past four years, I have been actively involved in ECyD, where I have developed leadership skills, responsibility, and a strong sense of community. Through this experience, I have participated in team activities, service projects, and faith formation that have helped shape my character and values.
Being part of ECyD has taught me the importance of teamwork, empathy, and dedication. I enjoy helping others, supporting my peers, and contributing positively to any environment I am part of. These experiences have strengthened my confidence and encouraged me to continue growing in my faith.
This past summer, I had the blessing of going to Rome for the Jubilee, and it truly changed my heart. Before the trip, my faith was important to me, but while I was there it became real and alive. Being surrounded by people who shared the same beliefs and values made me realize I wasn’t alone — I belonged to something bigger.
During that time, I experienced a love and joy I had never felt before, a peace that stayed with me even after I returned home. It felt like my faith was on fire, and I knew it was something I didn’t want to keep just for myself.
Since then, my desire has been to bring that same love and hope to others, so they too can experience the joy and purpose that I encountered.
As I continue my studies and prepare for the future, I hope to use the lessons I have learned to make a difference in my community and pursue opportunities that allow me to support and inspire others.
