Fr. Kramer Cameron LC will celebrate the Holy Mass in his home city of

Calgary for the first time

Father Kramer Cameron, son of Gerard and Marcella Cameron, was born on April 24, 1987, in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada. Kramer grew up in Mabou, Cape Breton with his four sisters Jacintha, Alethea, Paulette and Josefa. He attended Mabou Consolidated School and was involved in community activities including 4-H, Gaelic Camps, Cadets, swimming, cross country running, track, and hockey. At the age of thirteen, Kramer attended boarding school at the Immaculate Conception Apostolic School in New Hampshire, USA. While he was still studying in New Hampshire, his family moved to Calgary, Alberta, where he would spend his vacations in the mountains, hiking, swimming, skiing, skating, and playing hockey. Following his graduation, he entered the seminary at the Legion of Christ Novitiate and College of Humanities in Cheshire, Connecticut, where he did his Novitiate and completed his Classical Humanities Studies.

Kramer later completed his Bachelor of Philosophy in Rome, Italy. He then moved back to Connecticut as an assistant to the Rector of the Seminary for three years. In the final year of his internship, Kramer served in Michigan doing Youth Ministry, ECYD, and Missions, and at Everest Collegiate High School and Academy. He has continued to organize and participate in Missions to Haiti. Kramer graduated with his Licentiate of Philosophy and Bachelor of Theology in Rome, Italy, completing his thesis in Philosophy entitled, “Human Freedom: Creation by Participation, Metaphysics of Human Freedom in Cornelio Fabro,” and his thesis in Theology entitled, “Grace and Freedom in ‘On Grace and Free Will’ by Augustine.”

Father Kramer was ordained a deacon July 27, 2019, in Michigan City, Indiana. Since then, he has been working in Florence, Italy as Director of the English-Speaking Catholic Community, Director of ECYD, and doing Youth and Young Adult Ministry and Catechesis, based in the Parish of Santi Apostoli. Father Kramer was ordained a priest of the Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ on December 21, 2020, in Florence, Italy, where he continues his ministry.
